Earn While You Learn: Dive into the world of a working restaurant and gain invaluable skills with the American Culinary Federation (“ACF”)/Colorado Chefs' Association Apprenticeship Program. This 2-year Apprenticeship Program assists you in matching with a sponsor chef, who will mentor you in the kitchen during the 2-year Program. You will also take culinary classes taught by local chefs once per week throughout the 2-year commitment. The Apprenticeship positions are paid, so this is truly an earn while you learn program! At the end of the program, you will sit for a certification exam through the ACF, and you may have earned transferable college credits. You will definitely gain in-depth expertise and plenty of opportunities to advance your budding culinary career. If you successfully complete the Cook Street Professional Culinary Arts Program before starting the ACF/Colorado Chefs Association Apprenticeship Program, Cook Street will pay the tuition for the second year of this valuable program. Study Abroad: The Design in Food — Food in Design Program
The Design in Food – Food in Design Program at the Italian Food Styling Education Culinary Institute (IFSE) is a course for those who wish to gain experience cooking innovative Italian cuisine, with special attention paid to food design and presentation. The course at IFSE is 4 weeks in length (Monday – Friday), with a total of 140 contact hours. The educational activity consists of theoretical/practical lessons, use of labs, and guided school activities. After completing the 4-week program at IFSE, students are placed in a 2-month externship at a restaurant selected by the school, where they will work with an accomplished Italian chef.
Tuition is €4500, plus airfare.

Study Abroad: Professional Italian Pastry and Pastry Design Program
The Professional Course in Italian Pastry and Pastry Design at the Italian Food Styling Education Culinary Institute is the first of its kind in Italy and is designed for students who wish to get trained in innovative Italian pastry, with special attention paid to Pastry Design and presentation style for pastry shop products, plated desserts and artistic chocolate and sugar work. The course at IFSE is 8 weeks in length (Monday – Friday), with a total of 320 contact hours. The educational activity consists of theoretical/practical lessons, use of labs, and guided school activities. After completing the 4-week program at IFSE, students will be placed in a 4-month (600 hours) externship at a pastry lab or restaurant selected by the school, where they will work with an accomplished Italian pastry chef.
Tuition is €6950, plus airfare and €1000 for accommodations during training.

Study Abroad: Gastronomicom International Culinary Academy
Gastronomicom is located in Cap d’Agde, France, and offers a number of options for potential students, including French language instruction. The Gourmet Program is one month in length, with sessions beginning in May and September. Tuition is €3300, plus book and uniform fees and airfare. The Gastronomic Program is three months in length, with the next session beginning in September. Tuition is €6200, plus book and uniform fees and airfare. The Full Program is seven months in length, which includes three months of instruction and a four month internship at a luxury property in France. The next session begins in September.
