Cook Street 180° Overview

The philosophy behind Cook Street’s 180° program is simple: A Hands On Approach

We believe that intense hands-on training is the best way to prepare you for the rigors of this exciting industry. Our empowering menu-based approach, with a focus on the rich culinary traditions of Italy and France, will teach you the fundamentals required to excel in your future career.

Students spend their first three weeks of the program learning everything from the basic winemaking process to sensory and palate evaluation. Sprinkle in some seasoned lore on herbs and spices, add enlightening, in-depth lessons on olive oils and salts and you’ll be one step closer to putting your knowledge to use in Cook Street’s state of the art 3,000 square foot kitchen.

And once you are in that kitchen, you will touch, taste and prepare more food in 12 weeks than other culinary students get to do in two years. Cook. Eat. Drink. Critique. And with a maximum of eight students to one chef-instructor, we can ensure that you’ll get plenty of the personal interaction needed to guarantee that your culinary journey is a successful one.

Your studies will culminate in an exciting European Culinary Tour, where you’ll travel to France and Italy to learn from great culinarians and tour everything from Parisian bakeries to Italian chocolate factories.

The Cook Street 180° Culinary Arts Program has been endorsed for quality education by the American Culinary Federation Foundation, so there is no doubt that the education you receive here will be exemplary.
