Required Application Materials:
Admissions CriteriaCook Street embraces candidates who demonstrate a passion for the culinary arts and a dedication to pursuing a career in the culinary industry. No prior culinary experience is required for admission. Applicant must be 18 years of age or older. Exceptions might be made on an individual basis. All applicants must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants must interview and tour our facility. If this is unfeasible, exceptions will be made on an individual basis. Application DeadlinesCook Street maintains an open enrollment policy and accepts a maximum of 24 students per session. Click here to view the academic calendar for session dates. Application ProcessThe Admissions Committee will review applications only when all required application materials are received. Decisions will be made within two weeks of receipt of all materials. AcceptanceIf accepted, the applicant will receive a Letter of Acceptance via mail. An Enrollment Agreement will be mailed separately. A seat in the class is secured only when the signed Enrollment Agreement and a $5,000 deposit are received by Cook Street or other funding has been secured. Both are due at least 30 days prior to the session start date. WaitlistApplicants may be accepted and placed on a waitlist if the session for which they have applied is filled, or if the Enrollment Agreement and deposit are received after the session has been filled. Waitlisted students will be notified of openings in the order in which they were added to the list. If the student has not already submitted an Enrollment Agreement and $5,000 deposit, both must be submitted within five business days of notification. If no seat becomes available in the session the student has applied to, they will be eligible to attend the next session. DenialIf an applicant is denied admission, they will be notified of the decision by mail. Applicants may contact the Admissions Department for further details.
