Denver By The Numbers
5280:  number of feet above sea level and source of the “Mile High” moniker of Colorado’s capital city
300+:  number of days of sunshine per year.  That’s more than San Diego or Miami!
200+:  number of parks within Denver proper...and that’s not counting the 40 state parks and 3 national parks in Denver’s backyard
52:  number of fourteeners (peaks over 14,000 feet) to hike
23:  number of nearby ski resorts…and the number of craft breweries in Denver alone (with over 100 breweries to its name, Colorado is a bustling hub for the craft beer community).  Coincidence?  We don’t think so.
6:  professional sports teams, including the Denver Broncos (NFL), the Denver Nuggets (NBA), the Colorado Avalanche (NHL), the Colorado Rockies (MLB), the Colorado Rapids (MLS) and the Denver Outlaws lacrosse team.

Denver is known for...
Foodie scene:  There are over 300 fine dining establishments in Denver alone, and the city serves as a hub for innovative cuisine and a thriving independent restaurant scene.  Farmers markets abound, as does enthusiasm for the Great American Beer Festival each September.
Live music:  With some of the country’s best historic and modern live music venues (including the legendary amphitheatre at Red Rocks), Denver is a regular stop on the touring circuit of mainstream and underground acts.
Arts and culture:  Denver boasts the second-largest performing arts center after NYC’s Lincoln Center, one of the country’s biggest public libraries, a newly-designed wing of the Denver Art Museum designed by Daniel Libeskind, and enough galleries and historic buildings to impress any culture vulture.
Laid-back outdoor opportunities:  Whether you’re a weekend warrior or a hard-core snowboarder, Denver’s plentiful summer and winter recreational opportunities mean that relaxation and adventure are within easy reach.
Accolades and awards:  Denver consistently makes best-of lists that celebrate the city’s health, education levels, walkability, pet-friendliness, and more.
